My name is Alma Stoller. I am a multi-media artist and writer. I teach at different art retreats and I teach a variety of mixed media online classes. I have a Bachelors Degree in Music (piano) and I am currently working on a mixed media art book which will be released in 2017. I am a collector of inspiring quotes, a book junkie and tea lover. I live in Montpelier, Vermont with my family Wolfgang, our beautiful gray cat.
My artistic practice revolves around recycling everyday items in order to create my paintings, collages and mixed media work. I paint on cardboard, magazine pages, book pages, old jeans and scrap fabric. When possible, I like to use natural ingredient to make my own art supplies. I make my own paints, glue, paper, canvases, art journals, and a variety of other art supplies. I also dye and paint my own fabrics, make jewelry and I love to embroider and crochet.
